Hi everyone!
As my profile says, I'm just a Florida Pedaler but you better believe, I'm an avid one.
I may not be a certified coach or accomplished racer able to offer high level cycling tips but I CAN speak from experience as someone who took up cycling at the age of 39 and has been cycling every since... for almost 17 years now!
I really believe there's alot more of US out there than those that race, not to say that I never have, but my true passion is to stay fit and enjoy cycling and be able take that passion and ability into old age any way I can. I especially like to enjoy a cycling trip to interesting and "not flat" parts of the country since I'm a flatlander!
I went through all the confusion of chain ring and cassette speak and other "thingamajig" terminology years ago and the embarrassment of not wanting to admit I had no idea what someone was talking about. But I have become pretty knowledgeable about what the bike is about and how it does what it does, and what you have to know to make it work better for YOU and your goals.
I am also a habitual "surfer" always in search of valid cycling training tips that apply to the every day joe and "joe-ess". And I've found some excellent ones!
And something I've always enjoyed, is finding that unique or fun cycling gift for another avid cyclist friend or yes, for myself! I'm excited to start sharing my finds with you. My friends are always telling me they are amazed at what I dig up!
So stay tuned, sign up, and stay in touch and watch this thing bloom! I'm excited about making new cycling friends around the world.
If you have any particular questions you'd like to see me address or share info about, please post and I'll do my best to find the best answers for you.
Christine :)
